“Let the coaches and members show you, YOU CAN”!

Kat Utai signed up to CrossFit 3018 at a time when she was really seeking a challenge but also knew she needed the support too. Kat was on the edge, 100% committed to making a change in her life, physically, emotionally and mentally and excited to start getting after it.

Despite Melbourne gyms being in a state wide lockdown, Kat began immediately training with our team via Zoom, learning to move better, showing up daily and getting educated about the process of CrossFit from what we do, to how we do it and most importantly why we do it.



Kat‘s partner Joey also joined our team and has fallen in love with the challenge, the community and the results he is getting as well.

Making progress is not just a matter of showing up.

Here are 3 key ingredients

Purpose: the driving force that gets you there and fuels what you do. (Personal Growth, being a role model for your family, proving to yourself you can do it)


Culture: the environment of the place you train being supportive, nurturing and also progressive and challenging at the right time.

Approach: this goes beyond the program. It’s the attitude of the member, the commitment to training, the willingness to learn and the readiness to adapt when obstacles are present (aches, pains, sleepless nights, work stress, family challenges, competitions, changing goals)
