The fabulous Paul Wylaz - Strong, Fit, Grand-Dad!
Team we are currently running 4 strength cycles as of this week. The purpose is to switch focus from the conditioning demand of the open and make noticeable gains in the 5 repetition range which will be fantastic for our weightlifting and gymnastics goals as well as increasing overall weight loss, metabolism and work rate.
Deadlift hypertrophy/volume phase followed by a 5 rep Max testing and strength phase
Power Clean Cycle developing explosiveness and strength
Squat strength Cycle
Weighted Chin ups 5 rep cycle
If you love group training and haven’t ever experienced a strength cycle then you are seriously missing out on performance, power and work capacity.
Whilst balls slams, running and sit ups for 15+ minutes will leave you feeling like youve had a great workout, following a strength cycle and then using that new found strength in your workouts will lead to performances you never dreamed of.
All good things require strength and most of us are never “strong enough”.
Strong people live longer, fight disease better, break less bones, recover faster from injury, perform better, jump higher and burn more energy from doing nothing so they can eat more donuts for less fat gains.
