Toes to bar:
A wicked exercise that demands the entire body to be utilised to maintain rythym and generate force. It can look somewhat easy and elegant and leave people thinking “I could do that” and moments after trying you walk away scratching your head wondering while your flailing around the bar like an overweight bird with one wing trying to fly in a straight line.
This exercise is typically associated as good for:
– Core strength
Yet it is terrific for building a strong grip, shoulders, upper back, lats, abs and hip flexor strength. Teaching it and coaching it requires us to go back to basics and develop understanding around Hollow and arch positions, activation, active shoulders and much much more.
