Tia Clare-Cloomey aka TCT has had an incredible success and yet the Aussie tall poppy syndrome seems to remain.
Tia Clare Toomey finished 2nd in the 2015 CrossFit Games giving her the title of 2nd fittest female on earth. Tia can do it all, Rope climb, handstand walk, long workouts, short sprints, weightlifting, all of it. In fact she qualified for the 2016 CrossFit games and found herself 2nd place again proving it was no fluke and cementing her position as an elite CrossFitter and perhaps indeed the 2nd fittest on earth, depending on what you determine to be your definition of fitness.
Weeks after gaining that podium finish TCT arrived in RIO to compete in the 2016 Olympics and finished 14th in the 58kg category after only a couple of years of weightlifting. That alone is an incredible feat, let alone posting a 82kg Snatch and 103kg Clean and Jerk. TCT did herself proud, Australia proud and the CrossFit community is empowered to see the diversity that being an elite CrossFitter does bring.
That said the support has not been the only feedback for TCT and after a Bizzarre article was released in the #SydneyMorningHerald READ HEAR
#Barbend followed up with a recent update with Khan Porter sticking up for Tia and sharing his insights as well READ THAT ARTICLE HERE
